So Cal
This hotspot has come up in conversation several times on the repeater and nobody knew the name or where to find this piece of hardware. This is a turn key D Star hotspot. Connect it to the internet and go.

This is unlike a DVAP hotspot as it doesn't plug in to your computer since it has its own. VHF/UHF complete with Raspberry PI for less than a single band DVAP.

Not a lot of information on the manufacturer's site (http://www.dvmega.auria.nl/DBR_shield.html) regarding the DVMEGA Dual Band Radio.

Gigaparts has it on sale at $229 Link --> Raspberry Pi DV MEGA Bundle

A few people are also building these using the new ODroid computers, which are basically a seriously souped-up Raspberry PI. The linux/dstar software image is available for download; you basically just buy the hardware, burn the image to your SDCard, boot it up; change the callsigns and you're good to go. If you're not in an area with D-Star repeaters, getting on the system is getting easier every day with these devices.
