Sirio SY 27-4

The length of the boom and the distance between elements of a beam determine the F/B and gain of that antenna. They are 'trade offs', increase one and you decrease the other. Somewhere in that mix you find a combination that 'works' for you. That holds true for any type of directional antenna, not just yagis. Very basically, that's what the optimizer programs do, vary the element spacing and overall length of beam antennas.

I have decided to buy this antenna. This will be my first directional antenna. I have always enjoyed my Imax 2000 and will still use that I'm sure from time to time. Especially for local talking.
I plan on mounting the Imax 2000 just above the boom of the Sirio antenna. It appears the Sirio and Imax use the same size mast so it should be an easy addition.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
