I use one and also have a firestik 5'. The Skip shooter is tuned to the approximate center of 10 meter band and the firestik is tuned to 27.185 MHz. Although either one will work both 10, 11 and 12 meters. My worst swr at any frequency with either antenna is 1.8:1 at the upper and lower range of my10/11/12 meter radios. Both have the quick disconnect on the bottom that match up to the four magnet mag mount. I can change them out with minimal effort and no tools.
