I enquired about which dak lX the two different sellers were selling. Being there were three different lX's made, each with different tubes. The sellers didn't know which one thay had and didn't want to look n see. I own atleast three rigs with a single 6bq5 modulator. Why would I want a dak that's already a radio racked with poor soldering connections and a dubbel conversion reciver with a single 6bq5? If I'm gonna own one I want the one with the biggest audio tube. I think it's a 6d6gc or something like that. I'm actually glad it went the way it did. I think that MH SCOTT put 26 cover screws inplace in hopes no one would ever go through the trouble of removing the cover to find the most empty space ever left in a cb base station. I know that an unmolested lX with little use on it can be a keeper but everything I've seen on eBay hasn't been that. Sometimes you can get lucky by not buying something. I've since realized I probably won't own one and feel lucky for that.
