Some QRZ hams have to much time on their hands

Did you see the thread about the FCC rule changes (minor wording stuff) that quickly changed into why it's the world's worst sin to cuss on the air? It went on for pages...

Sonwatcher posted a thread over in the FCC section about the numbers of Hams. It is real easy to see why not many people get interested in amateur with the junk that is always going on, like this on qrz, and the comments that CWM is always posting, I've said it before and will say it again, the ham community is its own worst enemy. :(

Hey All..

I am glad to say i am a ham operator..
Not so i can snub others..

simply the reverse..
i like bringing up other CBer's to the ranks of ham radio..
i could easily have gotten my ticket in early 80's..

problem was then as is often thought of now..
to many ham operators are the ham radio's worst enemy's..

i desided to look past the ones that caused me to not want to be a ham operator..
after realising...why should i let them win..

anyways there are many many more frequency's one can legally
talk on with a ham ticket..

the best way to change things are from within not from looking in...

So again.....if any want to join the ham world...
Come on over...

regardless of how so many ham operators look down on CBer's and Ex CBer's....
most ham operators were at a time Cber's (dispite how they try to claim otherwise)..

Regardless...We can have fun using CB...Ham....even MURS..FRS...GMRS..

biggest problem i see in being a ham....
is the time and money needed to really get the most out of the HOBBY..

I am likly the least on (compared to most ham and CB ops)
Yet even though i get on once or twise a month..
i still enjoy both CB and HAM radio

Later
