You can not strip and solder coax like you can regular wire; you will induce an impedance bump in your feedline. Do what switch said and use connectors and a barrel.automan4025 said:

@ AWP:Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
