I got this handheld radio in a mystery box. Its missing the "rubber ducky" antenna and the battery charger. Can't find anything online about parts for it.
I was wondering if it was worth selling or not. Any help would be appreciated... Dan

Not sure, this may help.

Thanks H1driver, that tells me alot about the radio, but not how to obtain parts...Dan

If I'm remembering correctly they were around in like the 80's and '90s and now pretty long time out of business. You may not be able to find any parts at all.

I think Standard was part of Vertex. They were
part of Yaesu at one time then vertex standard then standard.
Or something like that.

Thanks for the info....I would hate to just throw is radio away if someone could do something with it....

In the age of Bao Feng that's a question worth asking. Handhelds were pricey when that radio was new decades ago. Not so much now.

Then I guess it will go on the shelf and become a display radio, thanks... Dan

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
