stereo headset with mic boom for thf6a

The only real 'trick' for finding one is making sure the right connectors are used to fit the radio, and that a PTT switch is wired in properly. After that, it's more a matter of preference, which headset you like the best.
One thing to think about is that most radios aren't 'stereo', but 'mono'. Depending on how the connector is wired you may only hear things from one side of a 'stereo' headset.

Find one you think you would like to use. If it doesn't have the proper connector on it, put one on it. Kenwood has them 'ready-made' and so do several other companies.

Maybe i can use my Xbox headset on the ht i'll have to hit up rs see if i can find a connector or two.

Heil Pro Elite with boom mike has stereo head set feeds and phase reversing switch..
Most Ham radios only have mono audio except some high end radios with two recievers.
To use the stereo head sets for mono you need to get conversion plugs from stereo to mono and or use the correct patch cords.
Look in Radio Shack for these plug adapters and mono cords.
Good luck.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
