Changes light colors 7 different ones I believe same as 440HP other than that. I have one of the first ones in the country sittin on my desk. makes a nice night light in the radio room !!

my comment was in regard to the auction listing in the first post you must not have clicked on. he wants $399 on ebay when the regular retail is just over $250. 250 isn't a good price for that radio any way you look at it. its a am/fm mid powered radio. might as well spend $120 and buy a superstar 121 as it goes the same places for much less. i have a very low opinion on the strykers myself, all in all they are not a very good radio.

You would have to be a complete idiot to pay 399 for a radio thats not even tuned and converted. This is right off the front page of Sparkys cb Shack.

Pricing aside, the 447 seems to be every bit as good as the 440. One thing you may need to watch out for over the long term is the 5-volt regulator used on the channel selector/display board. The original regulator was a 7805 IC, but the new one os some kind of miniaturized swithcing regulator circuit plugged in to the three holes where the 7805 used to be. I've already seen one of these switching regs go bad. Just replace it with a 7805 if it does go on you. Symptoms include no display, and no tx/rx operation.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
