STRYKER EXPERT NEEDED

I want to put a key up toy in this Stryker.

I want to feed the audio from the toy after the echo board.
On the old Galaxies you had 2 plugs on the echo board
One was the Input and The other was the out put.
I could hook the audio wire, ground, and transmit wires
from the toy right to the echo board that way.

Where is a good spot to find 12v to hook the toy to?
(The power on/off switch) is very hard to get at with an iron.
Hooking it to the power jack usually picks up alternator noise.

Other questions: Roger beep related.

Change tone volume, length, pitch?

Schematic seems marked wrong also on the echo pcb.
J4 is J5.
Looks like I can get Power and Ground from there.

J4 on the echo pcb
J5 on the schematic for the entire radio showing the echo board.

Right?

Trigger/Transmit pin I can get from the mic jack, no problem.

Audio out put from the echo board? To hook the audio
from the toy to??

I want the audio fed in AFTER the echo.

Looks like I can connect audio from toy to the yellow wire on J1.
Power and ground for the toy at J4 (mine is marked J5 on my board).

Black wire on J1 for PTT (transmit trigger on toy)

Brown wire on J1 is ground also

Nice how this thread got abandoned.
I see a Stryker radio going in the trash can soon.

I'm sorry, but I was waiting for you to let us know how it turned out. I assumed from your post you had it figured out. Please let us know if you didn't we're here to support our product.

I did figure it out, but the toy didn't like the unkey pop
and would re-trigger it while in rx.
It would make the toy start back up.

It was a crap toy any how.

Mature, throw something you spent money on in the trash can. Why don't you kick the iron post as well in frustration, and hurt yourself, only to go immediately to the doctor.

If I want to throw it in the trash, then I will.
Where have you been?
Since you were Mr. Stryker expert not too long ago where is
your input?

Plenty of questions you could have answered.
Roger beep length, tone, pitch. NADA.

What I am supposed to stare at a schematic that has mistakes on it?
You were the Communications expert. Why can you not tell me?

I just wanted to check it out. What is wrong with that?
Wanted to run it in my pick up truck.

Nothing, is wrong with that really, people are more than willing to help, but frustration is something I didn't want to jump in the middle of, like a busy street. I am glad that you got it figured out though. Just remember, most of this stuff is simple. Just keep trying, and you'll get it right. :)

Well, maybe some of the other people would have liked
an answer.

I remember you were all about the Stryker not too long ago.
Didn't you boast about having a part in the design?
Why no answers from you?

You didn't want to jump in to the "frustration" , yet here you are!

Nobody helped maybe, because most people cant stand noise toys.

Grow up.

They annoy the heck out of me.

The Stryker people DID help out on what they could.

This radio has echo and 2 roger beeps. Are those annoying to you also?

Why should I have to sift through a schematic that has
mistakes. When the people that built it are right here?

Even the Galaxy website had mods for their radios when
they released them. Since this is based on the 3600 board,
It shouldn't be hard for them to tell me what has changed.
