Ernie, once the resistors are removed the D band on the band knob becomes 11 meters. I don't recall what that band was before the conversion but it may be just band d that is lost or replaced with the cb band. The other banks are still there but I couldn't tell what they were because it was a big rig radio that stayed on 27.185.
Eldorado828, thanks for the reply and explaination. I was afraid after the modification the radio would be nothing but a glorified CB radio and the ham bands would be removed. So that is good news, I do like the looks of the radio and wanted to have a ham radio that also included a CB. I did not want to have two radios in the truck. I really appreciate the honest and straight forward answer. Currently I have a set of Baofeng UV-5RX HTs, programmed channels for GRMS, and it also has 2 meter and 73 cm. They were cheap, but something to play with and get to know parts of the hobby. I don't have my ham license yet, still working on it, I listen to the GMRS chatter. Thanks again Ernie
