Superscanner antenna Yeah!!

I am rebuilding mine and upgrading it to handle boots instead of bare foot. I will bookmark this thread.

I need ideas on upgrading the relay box, I have upgraded coax and stainless steel to replace all the hardware. I will add 3 balun's, thinking of making the antenna 5/8 wave.

Just bought one off of craigslist for 20 bucks this week. Put it up last night and I'm pretty happy with it. The VSWR's are very low, and it does seem to have pretty good rejection lobe to lobe. Debating whether to hook up my maco 300 to it. I've seen posts worning abut too much power, and other's who have no problem with it.

i think some would turn one element horizontal when using a rotor too .

I still have it and some plans for improvements to try. But wife abandoned my 3yr old (7 now) and I and she just filed for divorce over a year ago after having 2 kids with ex-con african. We have to make a living my son and I sense I was disabled from accident at work, money went down big time so she left us but now 3 yrs later trying to take what she can and mt son via her attorney. I am strapped for money now so projects are working in my mind only. On oxygen now 24/7 but want to work on radios for xtra cash.
