Any suggestions how to elimnate the roger beep on this radio, no switch to turn it off/on

TR33 is for the roger beep
you can install a mini switch on the base or collector leg of that TR33 or if you don't want the RB just cut the collector leg.

i got a ss3900 orignal version i had the r.beep taken out
and put a 10k switch on the ch.9 switch.and unlocked the fine control now this radio is awsome

Yupp just add a spst on off switch and whaaaaa laaaaa. or use an existing switch like NB or channel 9 switch. Those radios actually work fairly well if (setup right)

I have two of these radios and all I have ever done is cut jumper J9 to defeat the roger beep. You can add a switch if needed to turn on and off, but I never use mine, so I just cut the jumper.
