just mounted it straight, no spring... checked the swrs, highest I saw was a tick over 1.0, but not quite 1.1 all across the band

my little home tuned Cobra 29 LTD classic got out around 15 miles as the crow flies... I could NOT do that before with the FS Firefly...

plus it just looks cool...

people also say I am talking WAY louder on my mobile

you will definitely like the 102.

i run one on occasion for 10 meters on my mobile. excellent match on 10 and 11 meters!

mine does not need a spring either for a good match on 10 or 11 meters. but it matches the same with or without the spring. go figure............:pop:

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
