Hopefully someone can tell me the difference between a Texas star Sweet 16 and a TS Sweet 16 Mod V.

Thanks in advance for your input.

A Texas Star Sweet Sixteen is a solid state Amp with 8 2879`s in it.
A Texas Star Modulator V Plus is a little class c Amp with one 2290 in it and a variable used to set the dead key.
If you are talking about the Texas Star DX 1600V that is a Amp that is two units built into the same case. The Top Cover is made out of 1/8" Aluminum and has a modified DX 350 Board bolted to it with 2- 2879`s on it used as a driver stage and the bottom unit is a DX 1600 with 8 2879`s in it.
You can run just the driver, just the finals, or with the driver and the finals together.
Never run more than about 20 watts into it with the driver engaged or you let out all the Magic Smoke.

The smoke normally comes out when someone sits down and finally realizes they just paid $875+ for a Texas Star.
