After this if you happen to do a spot check and get more bars then usual you know you might need to check it again on an external meter. In my case in the winter when I get 2 bars I know I have to get out and clean the ice from the antenna whip. It's not perfect but serves a purpose.

Another major solar flare, but this time from an active region just beginning to turn into view off the east limb. It is possible that the group responsible is old AR 3654 from the previous rotation. The latest flare, an X2.99 event just peaked at 14:38 UTC (May 15). Stay tuned |
