SWR readings??

Was debating on getting an SWR meter to run my incoming Cobra 148 and kicker. In the meantime I thought about it..

And I used my Alinco DXSR-8T and MFJ-941e on bypass mode and coax 2 for my A99 testing today.. granted everything here in PA is wet frozen..

I got a flat 1-1.1 on Channel 1 and Channel 40 was like 1-1.3-1.4 both at 100w+ on FM mode.. I get a 1.2 on channel 19..

I did read even in bypass sometimes the MFJ meters may be off.

Should I message with the A99 again or just wait and see.. and should I still spend the extra $100 or so on the Daiwa 501H??

Just checking the MFJ-941e on LSB, I noticed it seems to sweep up (like PEP) reading.. when modulating and such like a whistle.. got it to get up near the 100w mark.

Guessing all MFJ tuners do this in SSB modes??
