on channel 40 the swr is fairly flat even when i turn the variable power all the way up to 100 watts on the 2970n2 ..on channel 1 the swr is just a hair higher until i turn the variable power up,then the swr goes clear up to a 2..why does the extra power maske a difference on one channel and not the other ?

Does your swr meter require calibration step before reading swr?

If so, you should again do the calibration step after changing tx power.

dudmuck..just tried calibrating with the power all the way up but no change at all with the swr,,still at a 2 unless i turn the power down..o, well ,back to the drawing board.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
