It has been a long time since conditions favored me with a QSO to Colombia, SA but it has today and with great pleasure.

I was able to maintain contact with 6WR399_JJ for several minutes at around 2:00 PM CST.
JJ was doing all the work with his 2 element Homebrew Quad, while I switched off from the HomerBrewed Merlin at 36' feedpoint, The 5/8 HomerBrew at 33' feedpoint, and a ragtag 1/2 end fed (EFHW) HomerBrew at 26' feedpoint.

What a blast!

I heard him here in MD too, but 38 was too busy for my little mobile to make it. Ironically, I was trying him as I was pulling in to my local Home Depot parking lot! lol

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
