I'm kind of fed up looking for decent techs to ship my radios too. The more I educate myself the more I realize that all I seem to find here locally are of the 'golden screwdriver types'.
So , I choose the path of doing it myself. If it is going to be messed up I'll have no one to blame but myself. (I'll still blame the equipment )
My questions are if you had to buy the equipment below new at an entry level what would you get? Or, if used what would you search for on fleabay?
Also, I see where a couple sites recommend a VTVM. Is it still necessary or will a good DMM do? I had a Simpson but was told I didn't need it anymore for what I do so I sold it. I have a Fluke 179 that gets certified once a year now.
1. RF Signal Generator HF only
2. Audio Generator
3. Frequency Counter, HF only
4. Oscilloscope
5. RF Wattmeter.
