This amp only puts out about 400 with 30 watts swing in in ssb. Is this about right? I know the rated power is with about 100 watts input. Just wondering?

with it only having 8 2290s in it and it being a amp hogger
and your vehicle is not giving it what it needs that would sound about right, might add another battery right at the amp
but the alternator is going to be doing the work
surley your not looking for a 1000 watts out of it are you
 
No I hope to never see 1000 watts out of it. I am just glad it sounds good over the air.

What would be the safest power to dive this amp in ssb? Maybe 70-80 watts?

I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
