Just purchased my first amp since getting back into the hobby from Nitro on the Swap and Sell section of this site. I can't wait to start making DX contacts as it seems this pairs up nicely with my Galaxy DX 959. 254 Northwest Georgia standing by.

You'll do just fine if the antenna is great and mounting is done correctly. Your stuff will work fine until I drop the maul and then it's all about me!!! That 250 would make a good driver for my driver.

Absolutely true....from 4 to 100 watts is the biggest gain. After that you'll have to double your power to gain a half an s-unit.
