Hello everyone,
I just recently acquired a Texas star dx500v amp and I have some questions regarding hooking it up properly. I have a good understanding of a basic setup using one antenna. but I run two antennas, 1 5/8 wave vertical and a 4 element yagi .
What it perplexing to me is how do I get everything hooked up and running correctly.
Here is what I have on hand now
My hf radio
An MFJ 75 amp power supply
Texas star dx500v amp
Daiwa cn 901 swr and power meter
Daiwa 2 position coax switch
New jumpers all RG 8X or I can use my LMR 400 UF jumpers if need be.
I just ordered a coax “T” maybe I should get 2 ?
I did a little research online and it says that I should also use an antenna switch something to do with matching the output to both antennas? Never heard of such an animal. I know and have a coax switch. Hmm . Anyway if some of you amp experts could give this old guy some pointers, tips , advice and a little help that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
