I have an opportunity to buy one of these amplifiers just wanted to know if it's worth getting and restoring. Thinking about running my President Madison behind it or cobra 2000. Any information is greatly appreciated as always

If it's in good shape, heck yeah they are good amps. The one I had was re-tubed to 24LQ6. Sold it to a friend a couple years ago, and he is still using it. 24LQ6 back then could be bought for about $8 each.

@snippits75 I've heard getting parts to restore it are hard to find and that nobody works on them anymore. Where would I start to learn on fixing these sweep tube amps I've got one I'd like to bring back to life. A small 4 tube mobile pictured in my profile picture

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
