to ssb or not to ssb that is the question

I'm not sure about your point about getting out further with sideband and being stranded in a vehicle. Most locals don't hang out on SSB. So shooting skip to get someone to rescue you doesn't make any sense.

Newbie to the group here as well.



Running a Galaxy DX959 and enjoying the hell out of SSB. The other (not even going to call them rigs cuz they were junk) didnt have SSB and all I got was well, AM!



I have been able to drive and attempt DX in the truck. No problems. I have prettty much memorized where the clarifier knob is so I can do the tweak if I have to.



Anyhoo....



Just my 2 cents...

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
