So My cheapie helping hands finally lost all the thumb screws and the clip wires have no life left so .. I built my own ! Who doesn't have alligator clips , firm wire and , an old SATA Hard Drive ?? Well its heavy its useless and most of us have one or find one in an old pc ! Not much need for description but , I soldered a very firm steel wire and a softer copper wire with clips to a Hardrdive with a steel plate using my 140w soldering gun . Hot glue a sponge for tip cleaning and there you go ! Mine has a Velcro pad near my solder station but its heavy enough on its own ! Fun easy useful build ! Nuttin fancy but it works ;)
