Here in my part of SoCal is kinda boring if weather is your thing. We get the Marine layer in the evening and temps can drop 20-30 degrees in summer. So 95 in daytime and 65 at night.

But to go by my own words and getting back on topic...earthquakes would be a tower killer but those are infrequent too. In the deserts they get summer monsoons that form so rain/lightning is a reality.
