Tram D 201 VOX. Need a Sams

Is it really the same radio? Or just the same model number?

There are two 23-channel D201 radios.

Annoying part of the info posted at cbtricks.com is that the only 23-channel schematic posted there is the original "hand-wire" or open-chassis version with the "VOX" feature. That one has all the tube sockets mounted in holes punched in the steel chassis deck.

All very well, but the owner's manual posted is for the later 23-channel radio that had all but one of the small tubes mounted on two large printed circuit boards. That radio has no VOX feature.

Schemo only for the original one with VOX.

And the owner's manual for the later 23-channel radio that doesn't have the VOX.

Unless the friend has identified which of these he has, you can download either the correct schematic, or the correct owner's manual, but not both.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
