I have found one for sale and from past post the Tram is a decent mobile radio. I have done the typical Google search for this radio and find very little info. For those who are much more experienced than I...what can you tell me about this radio.
Thanks

I know where there is one at a shop the tech has had for years. The owner has never come back to get it so its been sitting on a shelf for over 5 years. Im trying to get the tech to sell it to me but he somehow thinks the owner will eventually come back to get it (yeah right!), LOL.

he has alot of money in it i bet,hehe...the radios are great, and the 23 channel are better as far as power out and mod...but the 40s are better for adjacent freq rejection...if theres someone close on anothr channel they will get ya,but you will tear them up more, even with a stock mic...and for years,i never had to run a amp on ssb, just ran the radios,i have a Browning LTD,and a Browning Barron, and two Tram D60 and looking for a D80...have a bunch or Trams and Brownings, and yep...not for sale, hehe 73 de JW

I am about to pull the trigger and buy a Tram 80 in very nice condition for $115.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
