Transmitting question.

If I transmit on my cb, while on "public address" mode, should I worry about my antenna being connected? I know this sounds stupid, but can I ruin my cb radio if I yell something over the speaker, if my antenna is not hooked up? I don't know if any transmit is going into the radio. Any advice would be appreciated.
 

It will not harm your radio since you're not transmitting into the rf stage of the radio but is not a common practice to do this without an antenna connected for radio safety reasons.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
