I have one of these in very good shape,was given to me by a friend yrs ago.
It has no xmit,so I opened it and it has a driver #206 and final 2sc1969.
Somewhere I saw that you can also use 2sc1306 & 2sc1307.
My question is:Is this info right?

The 1306 and 1307 are rare and out of production.
You can use the 2166 and 1969 to replace them - respectively.

OK the reason I asked is because,it just so happens I have them both new.

Can they be used?

Yeah, just install them with heatsink compound and adjust the bias current to specs.

I have compound for installing CPUS. Can I use that? Is silver based Artic Silver 5

Not safe, I would use the non-conductive paste type.
