just bought larsen nmo150 vhf antenna. chart says to trim to 47 3/8" for my frequency. is this measurement for what is actually visible or does it include the little bit that goes inside the base . i am not using a spring!!
thanks in advance

The measurement is taken on the part that is visible out of the ferrule that contains the set screw. Don't cut it too short as you may have to adjust it a bit after. You do have a VHF SWR meter don't you?

Greetings !! I have that very antenna on my 2 meter.....my antenna is trimmed to 47 1/2 inches (from the top of the set screw ferrule)

And 146 mhz is where mine is cut to

Good solid antenna.I really like mine.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
