Hello, all. I just joined the dxForum. Trying to get my station back on the air after a number of relocations and false starts. Got a simple antenna up, mainly for receive only now; working on the tower. I hooked up my Kenwood TS-50S, which has been in storage for about 10 years, and which worked perfectly the last time that I used it. When applying 12vDC, I got a very loud buzz from the speaker, with the rig shut off. Tried with a 12v automotive battery to see if it was a power supply problem, but got the same noise. So, what could have deteriorated during the storage? Electrolytic caps? Where do I start? Thanks

Allen, KK4BR

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
