Anyone know what the proper tool for adjusting the input tuning slugs on the back of an Ameritron AL-800H is? I had it at one time; now I can't find it. I tried every other tool in the shop and couldn't figure it out????

If your local electronics part supplier hasn't dried up and blown away by now, the large end of a type 9440 plastic alignment tool sold by "GC Electronics" will fit. The small end of that one is the tiny flat tip that fits the slugs in most CB and export radios.

The six-sided "hex" tool you need is about 0.11 inches across opposite flats. Been buying them at hamfest flea markets whenever I see them. Since the local parts-supplier type businesses started going belly-up ten or 15 years back I try not to run out of them.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
