On the rci 2950cd, if i turn the ssb alc down so pep output is 15w instead of 25w, will it keep AM swinging at only 15w as well? Looking at the service manual im thinking yes, i hope. I dont want to swing 25w into my driver, its too much.

Does your SSB power change with the RF power knob? Mine does not, and I’ve heard that before.

Ive had the rig for a couple months now, and have spent very little time with it. I’m kind put off by the cumbersome method to change freqs...or I just need to buckle down and play with it more.

On my 2950dx it only changes the am carrier. So im assuming the 2950cd is the same. I just ordered it today so its not in hand yet.

Cb manufacturer r&d team= " they dont need something useful like being able to turn the output power down, lets give them bright pretty lights to look at. Yea Christmas tree like".hahaha, pshhh

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
