From what I understand, the +3 was a compresion microphone while the SuperSideKick was an amplifed microphone.

Well I got a +3 and hooked it up to my FT-840 this morning. I found someone on SSB to give me a radio check and compare this mic against the stock hand held Yaesu mic. and he said that mic.#2 (Turner) sounded much better. I then told him it was a Turner+3 and thanked him for the help. All of a sudden I was getting flowers from people all over on how good I sounded and how it was like a different radio with 3-4 times the audio and about how clear it sounded.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=""> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/roll.gif ALT=":rollin"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/pimp.gif ALT=":hat">

I'm running a Turner+3B with my 2510 and have had great reports. People say it sounds much better then my TUG-8 D104. I'm very pleased!
