My favorite hand mike of all time. It would kick a$$ on my Yaesu FT101E. Only worked properly on radios with high-impedance mike input. Won't sound all that good on a typical solid-state radio. Plugged mine into a Browning transmitter one day, and found the mike socket was wired in reverse. 300 Volts DC onto the cartridge inside the mike produced a muted "crinkle" sound and that was the end of that mike. Replacement elements just don't exist.
Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
