Turner Plus 3 element in a Turner Plus 2??

Hi Everyone,
I have a Turner Plus 2 (in good shape) with a bad element and a Turner Plus 3 (in horrible shape) but it works. Has anyone ever used the Plus 3 element in a Plus 2? I tried it and am getting a fair amount of feedback.
