Looking to wire my Turner Plus Three for use on an RCI 2980. Anyone got the color code and 4 pin layout for an RCI 2980 Base Station? Thanks, Dan

I just looked up both.... the RCI 2980 pin assignment is as follows

1 - Audio Shield
2 - Mic Audio
3 - XMT control
4 - RCV control

Now, the color code I see on the Turner Plus 3 mic is....

Mic Audio - WHITE
Mic Shield/Gnd - SHIELD wire
XMT - BLACK
RCV - RED

So I would say

SHIELD wire to pin 1
WHITE to pin 2
BLACK to pin 3
RED to pin 4

should do it.

Thank you guitar_199 for your prompt reply. I will be able to use my Turner Plus Three mic now...

guitar_199...Followed the wiring instructions you provided, instead of a white wire there was a yellow wire, so soldered all the wires where they go and that left one pin for the yellow wire. A successful job...the Turner Plus Three is working perfectly...Thanks again. Now have a Turner Super Sidewinder I need to wire to a radio, just haven't decided which one yet...

Glad to hear it Dan. Hope you get many a QSO with that mic.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
