Hey guys,
I'm new here and to HAM. As a result I'm having a little issue.

I just got my Kenwood TH-F6A radio that is fully open and I'm trying to program it so I can add it to my typical family radios one buys in radio shack.
The problem is I'm able to Rx but not Tx any ideas why, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks and looking forward to learning a lot.

R.

nevermind i got it. I had to change the offset setting to 0 from 5 MHz.

Next quesition though. will this affect my repeater use? I'm noit sure why that setting was like that.

If you program each channel in the VFO mode then save it to memory it will hold all the saved channel information and you wont have any problems. Now just remember to check or reset your offsets when programming and saving the info for repeaters to memory banks.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
