Just purchased a new DMM/multimeter for radio work. Don't know if any of you have/use a decent DMM; but if you are looking for one of these tools for repair work - this should fill the bill. Any CB hobbyist and semi-pro league Ham will need a decent DMM for repair, alignment, maintenance, and modification work for radios and related gear on a timely basis. Wouldn't use it for tube amps or any high voltage work; but for low voltage applications (300v/less), you could do far worse with a different meter.
Here is a general review:
Review of UNI-T UT61E
I had done a lot of research to find something that is accurate/affordable. This model has already been vetted on the EEVBlog; and does carry a respectable reputation with them. For ~$50/shipped, it is really pretty hard to beat. Many useful features. Will give it a quick review once I get it in a couple of weeks.
