uniden 68ltw squelch

i just got a new uniden 68ltw and noticed when you turn the squelch the audio does not dissaper completely. you can still hear audio faintly. seems odd

is the digital squelch switch turned off?

you can back off the rf gain a bit.

I have the same problem on my PC68XL. Was yours modified by any chance? Mine would key about 8 watts, peak at about 25.

this one is bone stock took it right out of the box and put it in the truck.
