Just got a UNIDEN 78XL

wanted to know of any happy or unhappy owners

was this radio easy to pump up?

Hey Turfman,

I got mine from EEI, and I had them Supertune(Put a bigger final in) and add echo. It is a very nice radio. The only problem I find is, you can't adjust the dead key. Right now mine dead keys at 1 watt and swing to 30 or so. They usually set the dead key at 8 watts, but I requested 2 1/4 and got 1.

So to answer your question, yes you find the right tech. you can get that radio loud

turfman: I've had one as a backup for 5-6 yrs. now, always worked good, loaned it to anyone that needed it, never any complaints, always came back still working, good value for the $$$$....................
