Uniden 980, kl 203p, francis 4.5ft question

my predator antenna was stolen off my truck so looking for a cheap easy to find replacement. Can i use a francis 4.5 ft antenna rated at 175 watts w/ a kl203 p and a uniden 980? Thanks in advancd for any replies.

It will work fine. If not just don't run the amp.

Yes, as long as you can get it all tuned.

If the price is the biggy, then look at a 1/4 wave whip, it doesn't get any cheaper. It'll handle any power you can put into it and will yield the best results. They aren't the easiest things to 'live' with, or the fanciest, but they certainly are the 'average' best.

Sorry w5lz i should have been more specific. I drive an international prostar condo. Heighgh is an issue. I couldnt use any antenna over 4.5 ft and still be under 13'6".

The four foot firesticks are rated at 300 watts.
