Looking to sell some radios so I can get a new scanner. I’ve got a uniden pro 520 xl, stock. A cobra ultra 18, no mike. A k40 trunk lip mount antenna with the mag mount kit. And. Pa horn for the uniden. I have a diesel power mike I’ll throw in if I can find it, I haven’t been able to find it since we moved. I also have 2 8’ fiberglass whips that I may throw in. $125 for everything. I’m located in Hickory NC.

dude, not trying to be a jerk, but you have about 30 dollars worth of equipment there, and only a complete newcomer to CB radio would be interested in those two radios.
the two 102" whips you have are worth more than the rest of the stuff.
you can probably find a buyer for the whips on CL in your area since they are a pain to ship.

Well I figure the uniden is $50 new on amazon. The antenna runs about $70 I think, plus another $30 for the mag mount. Then there’s the pa horn that is $30-$40 new. Plus the other radio would be at least $50 new. So $100 for $250 worth of equipment. I didn’t think that was too bad of a starting point for negotiations. The only reason I’m selling this stuff is to finance a mobile scanner for my truck, since my old one has died.

I was not correct in my estimate, and your asking price actually does reflect what people frequently pay for these items.
If each radio were worth 20 bucks, the k40 worth 40 and the PA speaker worth 20, then you are at 100 bucks already.

Don’t worry about it, no problem at all. I hope I didn’t come off as a jerk in my reply. I was just explaining how I came up with my asking price. Maybe I’m off by a bit but as always I’m open to offers. My price was just a starting point.
