as said before it has no am power but good on ssb (pb-208ad)

It's the 2sc1419, or equivilant... depending upon the series of the radio it's either mounted on the rear chassis with 3 wires going to it, or the right-back side of the radio. (with the component side facing up) replace it with a 2N6487 and all will be happy.
