Uniden pc122xl - channel readout brightness

Hi guys, is there a way to turn down the brightness on the channel readout for pc122xl

Sometimes it helps to understand where that red dot is connected to on the display side. Its a16 pin common anode LED display (same as the Cobra 29 LTD and many others). Pin 4 of the first digit and pin 5 of the second digit are connected together before it gets to the red dot as shown in the schematic. I often work back to the source when I have trouble finding this common point on some radios.

Thanks guys. I was hoping there might have been a vr for brightness. My soldering skills are decent but finding my way around on a diagram as to where exactly to put the resistor could be a challenge. Ill familiarize myself with that section of the radio for starters. Cheers thx
