Uniden PC76XL

I just got my Uniden PC76XL off eBay. Its used. What should I look for to see whats been done to it?

look to see if D-11 is in the good , both bottom and upper side , clip on top and might have a jumper on the bottom, the limiter really doesn't need to be clipped in that radio .VR-4 will give you all the audio needed. If D-11 is disabled ? VR-4 won't work. Even still ,the radio does have a mic gain. 8)

d-11 is marked on the board . Maybe you can understand the other guy better then I. Good luck to you.

alright I found d-11 and its clipped but dont see a jumper on the bottom

eeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkk solder it back. unless you hate your nighbors and like sounding like crap.

you can just solder it back together , theres no jumper because they clipped it instead , Now VR 4 will work (VR-4 is modulation) you can just turn that up all the way then back it off a quarter or so.
