Yes. Lima Charley (loud and clear) on all modes. Oh and no mods done to radio either. All stock.

found the problem
This is embarrassing but I will post it. A few weeks ago when I put this radio to bed after I tuned her up, I had ordered a mic (5-pin). The mic never came, got an external speaker by mistake and they haven't answered my emails to correct the order. Anyway, I converted a 4 pin mic to a 5. I used that mic to recheck the Washington before I put her on ebay. The mic was the problem. 2 pins were shorting together in the plug.
