What exactly are these variables for? It looks like attenuate input. It's this if your dead key is to high?

But if I have a radio that has a higher output than what the amp need. Ex. Rfx75 into a 2 pill. Can I turn the variable down and make it work?

No. Even the average HD (High Drive) 2 pill amp only tolerates a 5w DK and swinging 50.
I am not aware of a 2 pill that will handle the rfx75's input.
Someone will correct me if I am wrong.

I'm agreeing with you, I just built anoth err 2 pill and went through extensive learning to tune it properly and just wanted an opinion

Variable output, like on a Texas star is the output watts compared to a low, med, high buttons. Thats it, so even if it can do 400 watts, you can turn it down to 100 or whatever you want.
